초록
Nuclear Data Production System (NDPS) at Rare isotope Accelerator complex for ON-line experiments (RAON) currently operates to produce high-energy neutrons, up to tens of MeV, for multi-purpose applications. Various ion beams can be accelerated by the Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) and the SuperConducting LINAC 3 (SCL3), and subsequently delivered to NDPS for neutron production. In this study, neutron energy spectra which can be produced in NDPS by various combinations of ion beams and target materials were calculated using three Monte Carlo transport codes such as PHITS, FLUKA, and MCNP, and the characteristics of neutron spectra depending on beam-target combinations were examined. To assess the reliability of each simulation code, the neutron spectra calculated by different codes were compared with available experimental data.
